Gratitude in 2013
2013 has been a year filled with many wonderful clients and things that I am thankful for. It was a great year full of wonderful clients, staff for ECFD, venues, vendors, publications, and laughter and love with flowers that I can be nothing but thankful as the year closes out. I also was able to launch my other business, Lobiloo (the first ever floral design estimate tool) which was a thrill to see come to life after many years in the making.
More than ever, I continue to be so inspired by my wonderful children and husband who make me laugh and love more each and every day. I am so fortunate to be a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and business owner in 2013 and the past years. My hope for 2014 is that the joy, laughter and love continues and that 2014 is a wonderful year for all. Here's to the wonderful New Year!

Flowerdress comes to life...
After over 2 years, I was able to see one of my dreams come to reality recently as I created and completed my dress of flowers. In January I finally realized that there is often not a perfect time for such things in life such as having children, moving, etc... or making a flower dress and that sometimes you just have to move forward in pursuing such dreams and just make them happen at your own pace. This was just that case. I was fortunate to have two of my associates be able to assist for the day of the completion of the dress which was a lovely and much needed boost the bring the dress to fruition. Of course, you would not be seeing any of the creation without the lovely Sharyn Peavey photographing the dress and model, Rosie, being able to showcase it. Many thanks to all who helped.
150 glue sticks later, 2 glue guns, over 24 hours of labor, 8 yds of hardware cloth
over 150 peonies, 500 carnations, 300 roses, 120 astilbe, chocolate ty leafs and fiddleheads, etc..., it is complete!

re: Wedding Wire Award 2012
For the third year in a row I am proud to announce that ECFD has won the Wedding Wire Brides Choice Award. Wedding Wire is a division of Martha Stewart Weddings and the award is determined by brides so I feel very honored that my company has been selected. Thank you to all of you that are a part of ECFD as well as my amazing clients from year to year! It is an honor to be a part of your most cherished days.
Maine Magazine Wedding Edition Correction
Maine Magazine Wedding Issue: While I have not seen the issue yet as it does not hit stands for another few days, I received an email from the editors of Maine Magazine letting me know that they made a mistake with their publication and gave me credit for Meagan Gilpatrick's Maple Syrup shoot, featured within the magazine. I know that my own burlap shoot is in there that was my design and was created with the assistance of Sharyn Peavey, A Family Affair, as well as 111 Maine and Papier Gourmet as well as The Barn on Walnut Hill. I know that Maine magazine is going to make the correction for the Maple Syrup shoot in their next edition and in the meantime I know that Meagan and I are going to do the best to spread the word. It is a bit tricky for me at this point as I have not seen the publication, so other than the burlap shoot being within the magazine, I am not certain that any other designs are that of ECFD. ( I believe that a wedding that I did may be within the publication as well as a bouquet, but am unsure as to the final editing decisions of the editors..) Maine Magazine is a phenomenal publication and it is my privilege to be a floral designer that they continue to select and I am certain that they will do their best to quickly settle this mishap as I would never want credit for a design that was not mine.
