This past weekend was a busy one, but all the same wonderful. Great summer weather and beautiful flowers. One of the events that I was a part of was our friends wedding in South Portland.
Here are a few pictures..
The bridal bouquet....
A beautiful tight handtied bouquet of roses, pearled stephanotis and tweedia.
I could not resist to take a few pictures of their beautiful daughter with her flower halo on.
Congratulations Holly and Phil!

re: The Portland Club and Fort Williams
Mother Nature is being very kind to the brides overall thus far this wedding season. If it is a gully washer rainy day, it seems to always lighten up at least for the ceremony if not for the reception as well. It is making a lot of people very happy.
Yesterday was one of those days. The ceremony was at the pavilion at Fort Williams State Park in Cape Elizabeth and the reception at the Portland Club on State Street in Portland. This couple was a joy to work with as they were very easy going, did not let the predicted weather phase them and not to mention...they love playing board games. In fact, you will notice that their love of Scrabble even made it into my reception decor. I hope that you enjoy seeing some snapshots of their flowers...

re: Purple, Ivory and White with Ivy
I recently had a pick up of personal flowers where the bride had a soft color palette of purples, creams and whites. Her bouquet is actually slightly teardrop shaped which is somewhat difficult to see here, but it will be beautiful as she holds it down the aisle.
She had small posies for her attendants, collared with ivy vine.
Simple and elegant...

re: Decorating for the Holidays this summer
WGME's Good Day Maine invited me to join them for their Fox listing July 4th Bash. It was so much fun to be apart of and to show off some creative and different ideas for not only the 4th of July, but any party this summer. Everyone was so great to work with, Meredith Alex of MadGirl Studios, Bettina of Cellardoor Winery, Raymond of Camden Harbor Resort and many more.
